  • Do not eat or drink for a few hours before the CT scan - at least 2 to 3 hours.

  • Wear or bring no metal items, jewellery, eyeglasses, or other accessories to the scan room.

  • Wear a hospital gown or loose-fitting clothing.

  • If you have a significant health problem, have just had surgery, or have any implants in your body, tell the radiologist.

  • If you are claustrophobic or have anxiety difficulties, please let us know ahead of time so that our doctors can take the necessary precautions to ensure a smooth scan at your convenience.

  • If you're pregnant, let them know ahead of time, especially if you're in the first trimester.
